  1. We booked a religious tour with this pricey tour company for Pesach (Passover) in April 2017 at the Boca Raton Resort and Club - Waldorf-Astoria. The tour included hotel accommodations, food (kosher for the Pesach holiday), religious observances (including daily prayer services), and "entertainment." Our group included my elderly mother, for whom Pesach is a particularly serious religious observance. So, before booking, we spoke with the Boca Raton tour representative, Leebee Avital, at great length to ensure a high quality experience. In particular, we wanted to participate in a communal seder meal for the first and second nights of the holiday.

Unfortunately, Leebee bungled the seating arrangements, despite the precautions we had taken. We ended up being in the wrong ballroom. So, we ended up missing the first seder. This caused significant discomfort and upset to my mother, and to the rest of my group. When we went to complain the next day, Leebee admitted the mistake.

There were other problems. For instance, they provided an "entertainment" option in the tour package, for which we paid. The entertainment was in a hotel ballroom accessible by stairs. My mother was in a wheelchair. When we arrived at the ballroom, an employee took us to the wheelchair lift for the ballroom. The lift was not working, so they called security. No one showed up. In addition, I noticed that at the top of the lift, the door was barricaded with a large pile of chairs making access to the ballroom impossible from the lift. The next day, we reported the problem to Leebee, who apologized.

Other issues included overbilling for services we did not receive and failure to provide simple things (e.g., a tour bag with the company's logo, which all tour customers are suppposed to receive).

After we returned home after the holiday was over and then asked Leisure Time Tours for a partial refund (as we are not allowed to discuss business during the holiday period), we were shocked to see that Leisure Time Tours showed no remorse. Leebee changed her story, saying that the seder issue had been a misunderstanding which could have been easily remedied. Leebee said that the missed entertainment option was not the tour company's fault. I spoke with her supervisor, the Managing Director, Robert Frucher. He asked for proof of the problems we encounted, which I provided to him. I never heard from him again, despite repeated follow-up phone calls and emails.

This tour operator charges relatively high prices for their services, booking tours at elegant hotels (e.g., a Waldorf-Astoria in Boca Raton, Florida). They are poorly run and promise things which they do not deliver, and then stubbornly refused to deal with their mistakes when contacted afterwards. This is an unscrupulous, money-oriented tour operator. That such a hospitality industry company offers religious tours, of all things, is truly worrisome. I would not recommend this tour company to anyone.
